How I am instructed

Party-appointed expert
Independent, CPR-compliant written evidence and, where required, oral testimony. I analyse the technical matters in dispute, address competing expert opinions, and set out clear reasoning to assist the court or tribunal.
Single joint expert
Where the parties need one independent expert to assess the technical issues, I work with all parties to reach fair, well-reasoned conclusions.
Arbitration
Domestic and international arbitration, including DIAC: assessing the technical evidence, preparing structured expert reports, and attending hearings to explain complex technical topics to arbitrators.
Pre-dispute advice
Early advice where technical concerns have emerged but proceedings have not started: clarifying the technical issues, assessing risk, identifying causation, and helping legal teams and executives understand the technical reality.
Technology consultancy
Support for organisations with complex technical challenges across architecture, software engineering, digital transformation and regulatory compliance, including system reviews, vendor oversight, technical due diligence and recovery of stalled projects.
