Who I am

This website is run by Alfie Payne, London, United Kingdom. I am the controller of personal data collected through it. Contact: ajp@alfiepayne.me.

What I collect and why

If you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address, any optional details you give (organisation, phone) and the content of your message. I use this only to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to carry out a conflict check before accepting an instruction. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. The site sets no cookies of its own. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam; Turnstile processes limited technical data about your browser for that purpose only.

Videos on the Speaking page are hosted on YouTube. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; the player then uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and Google's privacy policy applies.

Who processes your data

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Enquiries are delivered to my Microsoft 365 mailbox. Both act as processors on my behalf. Some processing may take place outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an instruction are deleted within 12 months. Enquiries that lead to an instruction are kept with the engagement records for as long as professional obligations require.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to its use. Email ajp@alfiepayne.me. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
